CHAM SAU dd: P.C.C. 17 attached to Central Police
About 22.30 hrs. on 19/2/46 was on
Station, C.I.D.
patrol with another detective in Des Voeux Rd. C. I
was on beat duty that night and was looking for a stolen
car No.147. Outside 273 Des Voeux Rd. C. I saw the car
parked the re. I saw last witness in conversation with a
Chinese male. 1st deft. was the man last witness was
talking to. Last witness in fomed me in presence of 1st
deft. that he had been seen leaving car with another man.
I searched 1st deft. for ams and then took him to Central
Police Station.

About 23.00 hrs. on 19/2/46 I
was informed 1st deft. was detained on suspicion of having
taken part in armed robbery in Caine Rd. near Old Bailey
St.
Searched 1st deft. and removed from his wrist a wrist
watch with marks bear "Gotham" with a steel band. Also
found a wallet containing 9 H.K. $10 notes 2 H.K. $5 notes
(Exh.G.) 1 10-Patacas notes 2 5-Patacas notes and 49
50-Avos notes and loose in 1st deft's pocket 4 H.K. 10
notes 1 H.K. $5 note 6 H.K. 41 notes and 7 H.K. 10-cent
notes (Exh.G. but not including Patacas notes), I also
found two keys on string. The two keys now in Court are
the keys. (Exh.E.). Some time later I tested the keys with
car No.147.
They operated the switch. I made a list of
these articles and handed it to Insp. Watson. At 00.30 hrs.
